Streets is Watching:

This may be your next Vice-President...PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO!!

When a presidential nominee is chosen, he or she has to choose a vice-presidential nominee to accompany them on the party ticket. Political advisers are supposed to perform a thorough, sometimes invasive evaluation of the prospective VP nominee called vetting. This is stuff I learned early on in political science courses, but apparently John McCain's camp was asleep in class. McCain's fresh faced running mate, Sarah Palin, was already taking heat for a lack of experience, but now she has some skeletons coming out of the closet and they're shining a dim light on the Republican campaign and Republican National Convention.

On Monday it was revealed that Gov. Palin's 17 year old daughter was five months pregnant. Palin and her husband later issued a statement that her daughter plans to marry the father. Underage pregnancies is not very conservative of Ms. Palin. To make matters worse, there are also rumors that Ms. Palin was a member of the Alaska Independence Party. This organization has tried to secede the state from its union with America. That isn't very patriotic of her.

A republican party member with ties to John McCain, said that the team assigned to vet Ms. Palin didn't arrive in Alaska until one day before it was announced that she would be McCain's running mate. If that is true, maybe that would explain why the President of the Alaskan State Senate said that no one from McCain's party contacted any member of Alaskan legislature to find out more about Sarah Palin. In fact, she said that no state leaders even knew Ms. Palin was being considered as a running mate.

This entire ordeal is a bad look for Johnny boy. They do a more thorough background check when you work at the mall than the one they did on Sarah Palin. Maybe McCain's team should have focused a little more on their campaign before they started knocking Barack.

Watch Sarah Palin speak at the Republican National Convention tonight at 7:00pm ET.
