What's Your Opinion On: Nicki Minaj













How do you feel about Nicki Minaj?

I ask because I'm not as impressed as a lot of people are claiming to be. I can appreciate her trying to make a name as a female rap artist during a time when women are having such a difficult time re-establishing respect in the rap game, but I'd be lying if I told you her music has wowed me. Her voice and "black barbie doll" persona seem more like a gimick than actual talent, and If you could name me five songs by her (not featuring her) I'd be shocked.

Nevertheless, that's my opinion, so let us know what you think about Nicki.

    I enjoy her when she first stepped on the scene. No lie I was impressed.

  3. At first, I was refreshed by a new face among Female rappers...

    then, I was disappointed when I noticed how closely she seemed to mimic Lil'Kim (check out her mixtape cover vs. Kim's infamous cd cover)

    but...I decided to give her a third chance...and I actually really like her. I think her flow is unique and I've been impressed by her word play on a few tracks.

    the reason you can't name many songs (most ppl) is because she's new. I think it's an unfair assessment to gauge whether she's hot or not...but she's definitely one to be reckoned with.

  4. well i think nicki minaj has great skills whether its a act or not it sales for her. on top of that i believe she can rap. now how caught up in the game and lil waynes life she gets is yet to be seen. good luck on that!
