Ant & I had the opportunity to attend The Cooking Channel's Summer Eats Pop-up Birthday Celebration this past week in Atlanta. Hosted by celebrity chef G. Garvin and Cooking Channel newcomer Eden Grinshpan, The Cooking Channel took over Atlanta eatery Abattoir for one night to celebrate their 2nd anniversary of broadcasting food-based programming 24-hours a day. The evening's menu included southern fare including shrimp & grits, fried catfish, pulled pork sliders, georgia peach pie and red velvet cupcakes. During the event Ant & I had the opportunity to speak with G. Garvin briefly which was cool since we have followed his work for some time now. The "Pop-up" had a cool after-5 vibe and with an open bar, free eats and live tunes, The Cooking Channel brought in it's second year well.
